We were fortunate to have Anita White for a fantastic 3 day workshop at the Quilted Apple here in Phoenix Oct. 7-9th. We are also blessed to have the happiest group of gals (both local and out-of-towners) who enjoyed themselves immensely...as evidenced by the photos below.
We guarantee that you will have a good time, if you attend one of our rug hooking classes....we have four more scheduled in Jan., Feb, and Mar 2011 with teachers Jayne Hester, Tish Murphy,Cynthia Norwood, and Diane Stoffel if you would like to give yourself a break from the winter weather and enjoy some sunshine and good hooking in Phoenix with the rest of us.....its the place to be !
My pink rug mentioned in a previous post is hanging on the wall over Anita's shoulder. Sandy B. had lots of one on one time with Anita as she did a rug that had a new and unusual border that utilized a special technique that was developed by Anita.
And as every hooker knows, it is always about the worms.....this was a great basket that Tonee had purchased and I really liked the size (about 16" x 6" deep) because it was big enough to hold alot AND still let you see the individual colors that you have. I came home and found a basket maker on line who happens to live in Arizona and am having one custom made.
I have lots more photos that I will share tomorrow.....including students who drew original designs and are hooking away on some fabulous pieces !
